Rev. Susanta Patra preached on the theme ‘The feeling of Gethsemane’ from Matthew 26:36-46 on Maundy Thursday Special Worship. Gethsemane is derived from 2 Hebrew words, gat means a place for pressing oil, shamanim means oils. 4 experiences Jesus went through in the garden: a. Struggles of Jesus: The 1st picture we see here: From His own to loneliness; Captured/tested by the enemy; b. Surrendering of Jesus: Kiss of deception; In the hand of the sinners; Why he surrendered? ‘Christ, not Tradition matters’ by Mr. Paresh Das, Special Worship (Wednesday), 17th April, 2019

Mr. Paresh Kumar Das preached on the theme ‘Christ, not Tradition is important’ taken from 1 Peter 1:18-19. Many today cling on to tradition; but they have no change of heart. What matters most to God is a changed heart, a repentant heart. We can celebrate Passion Week year after year, but if there is no change in us spiritually, we are dead on the inside. Let us remember, we are protected by Jesus Christ. We are redeemed by His precious blood shed on the cross more than 2000 years for your sins and mine. What the Lord wants to …

Receive His Word of Healing by FAITH

Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Your Bible will do you no good if you leave it on your bedside table, gathering dust. It will do you no good if you hold it like a teddy bear when you are facing your “giants.” But God’s Word will do you a lot of good when you receive it as truth and speak it as truth! Then, you will see your healing and deliverance from every evil condition that has been sent to destroy you! The Bible says that “He sent His word …

Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani preached on the them ‘Fruitless life/Are we bearing fruits?’ taken from Mark’s Gospel 11:20-26. While this text speaks primarily to Israel, there is also a word of warning here for all people. The Lord Jesus wants us all to know that He is examining our lives. He wants us to know that He is looking for genuine spiritual fruit in our lives. When He finds that fruit, we are blessed. When He does not find it, there is a high price to pay. Let us see the 3 things from this passage and see what it …

What does His suffering and pain means to the church for you and me today? i) We will be alive again in Him again. Are we living in Christ! Do we have the assurance that if we die tonight, we will go to Heaven? 2) Am I a student of the Word of God? Do I really lay stress on God’s Word. Thy Word is truth and the Scriptures cannot be broken. 3) What is the destination of my procession? We are all pilgrims in progress. Are we on the path of Righteousness …

JESUS is Lord over the storm

Matthew 14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Are you going through a dark, difficult moment in your life? Perhaps the storm just rages on with no let-up and you are trembling in fear. You feel that any time now, you may just cave in and go under because you cannot beat this storm. ‘What Cross of Christ means to the world?’ by Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani, (7th April, 2019)

Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani preached on the theme ‘What the Cross of Christ means to the world?’ The Scripture portion was taken from 1 Corinthians 1:18-25. There are 3 important things the Cross of Christ truly means to the world: 1) The world is offended by the Cross. 2) The world is judged by the Cross. 3) The world is saved by the Cross. Let’s look this morning at The Man In My Mirror. 1) v. 9-10 SIN IS A UNIVERSAL PROBLEM: It touches every race and religion and it tarnishes all righteousness. Sin is a horrible problem! It has only one cure and that cure is faith in Jesus Christ! 2) v. 11-18 SIN IS AN UGLY PROBLEM: The sinful nature of man will always manifest itself in his life. Sin has …

Mr. Sandeep Kumar preached on the last day of the Prayer Week from Jeremiah 33:3 on the theme ‘Prayer is more important than Power’. We need to call upon God and Him alone while we are praying. He loves to hear our heart’s cry. 3 things are very important for every believer to understand as we pray: 1) Pray Rightly: When you cry out to Him, come to Him with a clean heart with no bitterness for anyone. We need to have love for one another when we come to God in Prayer. 2) Pray with Confidence: Are we confident …

Mr. Paresh Kumar Das preached on the 5th day of the Prayer Week from James 5:16. The theme of his message was ‘Prayer of a Righteous avails much’. How is your prayer life today? Do you truly beleive that the Lord will answer your prayers? Or are you trusting on man for your prayers to be answered? The Bible says, as saved people in the Lord we are priests and we can pray and cry out to Him directly. We don’t have to go through a mediator anymore for having our prayers answered. We need our heart cleansed and we …
