‘Christ, not Tradition matters’ by Mr. Paresh Das, Special Worship (Wednesday), 17th April, 2019

Mr. Paresh Kumar Das preached on the theme ‘Christ, not Tradition is important’ taken from 1 Peter 1:18-19. Many today cling on to tradition; but they have no change of heart. What matters most to God is a changed heart, a repentant heart. We can celebrate Passion Week year after year, but if there is no change in us spiritually, we are dead on the inside.

Let us remember, we are protected by Jesus Christ. We are redeemed by His precious blood shed on the cross more than 2000 years for your sins and mine. What the Lord wants to communicate with you today is this!

Do you know Him truly? Or do you just just pretend to know Him? Do not be deceptive, but be genuine in your love for the Lord Jesus. If you know Him and say you love the Lord, then that love should reflect in your personal life too. That is what Jesus is saying in John 21:15-17 – Love me as I love you. His love for us is beyond comprehension.

This Passion Week, let us reach out to people and share the love of Christ to others who haven’t heard about Him! We can’t show that love if we haven’t been changed from the inside. It is time to retrospect our lives in the light of God’s Word.
