‘Confronting the Problem of Sin’ by Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani (24th June, 2018)
Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani preached from Genesis 49:1-12. His theme was ‘Confronting the Problem of Sin’. This passage deals with Jacob who gathers his sons for one last time before his death.
He divides them into three groups: One was Disqualified; the second group was Distinguished; but one was Different. 3 lessons we learn here:
1). A man who covered his Sin: Here Jacob was talking about Reuben. He was referred to unstable as water.
2). Men controlled by their Sin: Here Jacob is talking to Simeon and Levi who operated in anger and in self-will.
3). A man who confessed his Sin: Here Jacob is telling about Judah.
Today, do you try to hide/deal with sin your way or do you handle them God’s way!!! Time to retrospect.
