Church Prayer Week @ 7 pm from 18th – 23rd June

You may recall that we had organized a ‘Prayer Week’ from February 19 to 24 which had generated a lot of enthusiasm among the worshippers who came and joined the prayer. We have decided to have the prayer week again from June 18 to 23 next. We urge all the worshippers to come and join the prayer and be blessed. Kindly note that all other programs of the church during the week including the Cottage Prayer Meeting on Thursday will remain cancelled during the week to enable all to come and pray here.

Open Forum discussion and fellowship @ 7 pm on 13th June

I wish to have your kind attention for this announcement. I am to inform you that the church has planned to launch another program for the worshippers to make them think about the world around us, it’s possible fallout and impact on our spiritual life. Its objective is to equip our worshippers for the vicissitudes of life. Things do keep happening around us but often we don’t even notice it. We need to know how we as believers, our families, are affected and what shall be our response. For an example, the rules laid down by the authorities becomes binding on all citizens. But if it goes against the teachings of the Bible then what a believer shall do? We can’t protest and don’t need to protest, but we must know what the Word of God tells us to do in such a situation. Recently, there was a huge controversy over Christians praying for their country. What can be our response? To discuss this, we will be having a program at 7 pm on June 13, 2018 in which a panel will engage our worshippers in deliberation and moderate the discussion. We encourage all our worshippers to attend and, if they feel like, express their views on the subject under discussion. The panel will comprise our Pastors and Rev. Sangram Singh from Cuttack. The whole objective of this program is to empower and equip our people so that they know exactly how to face different situations and form their own worldview. We don’t grow because we don’t think and engage in discussion. The program will be for around one hour. We invite each of you to come for this unique program being held for the first time in our church. We plan to have one such discussion every one or two months.

Chain Prayer on 9th June

Chain Prayer was held in the Church on 2nd Saturday (9th June). Many of our brothers and sisters came forward and joined in prayer. We need to pray as a church to stay united and also be able to tackle the schemes of the devil. Various issues were prayed for. We thank those brothers and sisters who spared their precious time to come and spend time at the feet of the Lord in His sanctuary.

‘RISE’ participants fellowship held @ 6:30 pm on 6th June

32 of the 45 ‘RISE’ Summer Camp participants were present in church on 6th June for a special fellowship evening. Few of them shared their testimonies and experiences as to what the Lord did in their lives on the 3 days. Mr Paresh Das, Church Secretary encouraged one and all with words of wisdom from God’s Holy Word. Certificates were presented to those who were present. The rest can collect their certificates from our Evangelist, Mr. Sandeep Giri. We hope and pray that the Lord will continue to speak to this youngsters and help them to lead a life that is pleasing to Him. Both our Associate Pastors and few board members were present too.
