Passion Week – 2016

Passion Week – 2016 (20-27 March)

Passion Week 2016 was between March 20-27. The Program started with Palm Sunday (marking the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem). Then we entered into the Passion week starting from Monday till Wednesday; culminating into Maundy Thursday (known as the Last Supper); before we enter into Good Friday: (The day Jesus died for the entire humanity; opening a way for our Salvation.). The Passion Week ends with Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday, when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, conquering Sin and Satan once for all.

Let us remember, “it is the Resurrection that makes Good Friday good.” That’s why the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:3,4 that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; he was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Never forget, the beauty of the Gospel is on that Cross. Without the Cross of Christ; there is no redemption for anyone. It is only faith in Christ that can set us free from all the bondages of the dark forces.

This year, our Guest Speaker was Rev. Madhusudan Das from Hyderabad. Rev. Das has been in full
time ministry for nearly 44 years. He Preached from Maundy Thursday evening and ended with Easter Sunday afternoon Odia Service. On Saturday morning, he took a Special session for the ladies of Mahila Samiti. The Lord used him mightily during these days in our Church. Many people from other faith too came to hear about the Risen Savior. Many lives were touched. The Church was packed during this week. We Praise God for helping our Church to successfully conduct all the Passion Week programs. It truly is a Blessing to be part of this week. May the Lord continue to speak to those hearts that have heard the Gospel this week: Live for the Glory of God and let us be messengers of the Good News of Christ to a lost and dying world. Click on the following to see the exclusive pictures from Palm Sunday till Easter Sunday Service:
