Church Events in March 2019
Prayer for Odisha (31st March, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in both the Services. We prayed for Rayagada district this Sunday. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
VBS Teacher’s Meet (29th March, 2019)
The Vacation Bible School will be held in our church from May 13-20, 2019 and the classes will commence @ 6:30 am in the morning and conclude @ 9:30 am. A Meeting of the teachers was held in this regard on 29th March evening. We request our worshipers to encourage their children to attend the VBS for their spiritual growth. The detailed program will be made known to you later. The next teacher’s meet is scheduled on 10th April, 2019 @ 7 pm. All the teachers are requested to attend this meeting.
Adjourned General Body Meeting (27th March, 2019)
The Adjourned Meeting of the Church General Body was held in the church on March 27, 2019. A suggestion came in that meeting for making changes in the constitution which will be taken up in the next meeting. The proposed changes and the existing provision are available for you. You may pick your copies when you go and present your views in writing to the Secretary on 7th April, 2019. Let us seek God’s guidance in this matter completely. The next meeting which was supposed to be held on 10th April, has been shifted to 12th April, 2019 as the Adjourned Meeting’s President is unavailable on 10th April. Please keep this issue in your prayers.

Church cleaning by Youth Fellowship (21st March, 2019)
The church looks so clean and tidy. We thank the young people for this…on 21st March (Thursday), some of our young people from youth fellowship and CE namely Babina, Gayatri, Ipsita, Dibya, David, Johnny, Jacob, Samarpit, Sarat Baliarsingh, Priyanka and Satyajeet came forward and helped clean the church. Bro. Amit Nayak, bro. Sabhajan, bro. Chandra Digal, our Evangelists bro. Giri, bro. Ranjeet and bro. Pratap helped them in cleaning the church. Our CB members bro. Michael Rajesh Behera and bro. Sandeep Kumar were present too. God bless you all and pour out His blessings on you.
Special General Body Meeting (20th March, 2019)
The Special Meeting of the Church General Body was held in the church on March 20, 2019. It has been adjourned to 7 pm on March 27, 2019. The Meeting has been adjourned to 27th March, 2019. All members and associate members are requested to attend.
Prayer for Odisha (17th March, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Deacon Rev. Bijoy Kumar Das in the English Service and by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in the Odia Service. We prayed for Boudh district this Sunday. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Health Camp organized by Inner Wheel on 13th March, 2019
In collaboration with the Inner Wheel, Church of Christ (Union Church) held a health camp @ Church from 9:30 am till 1 pm on 13th March, 2019 (Wednesday). It included general health check-up, eye and dental check-up besides Bone Density Test. Doctors from Kanungo Institute of Diabetic Specialists (KIDS) were present to conduct sugar level test and counselling for Diabetic people. Other doctors and support staff were from AMRI Hospital. We had more than 150 people who came to this camp and had their health check-ups done.

We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Deacon Rev. Bijoy Kumar Das in the English Service and by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in the Odia Service. We prayed for Kalahandi district this Sunday. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Seminar on Conversion @ 7 pm (9th March, 2019)
A seminar on the subject of ‘Conversion’ was held here on 9th March. It was also an attempt to equip the church members about the frequent allegations leveled against the church and Christians about luring people from other faiths into Christianity. Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani, Rev. Songram Keshari Singh and Mr. Paresh Das coordinated this program which was beneficial to many who attended.
2nd Saturday Chain Prayer from 7 am till 1 pm (9th March, 2019)
The 2nd Saturday Chain Prayer is held every month from 7 am till 1 pm. This month, it was held on 9th March. We thank those brothers and sisters who came for the corporate prayer. We urge the members of the Congregation to come in large numbers and be part of this time of prayer. It will strengthen the church. We prayed on various issues.
Persecution Preparedness Seminar held on 4th March, 2019
The church organized a half-day seminar on the subject “Persecution Preparedness” on Monday with Rev. Songram Singh as the chief resource person. Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani and Mr. Paresh Das spoke as well. It was attended by more than 250 people who benefited immensely through this seminar.

We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in both the Services. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On 3rd March, we prayed for Koraput district. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
