Dear brothers and sisters,

It was March 15, 2020 when we last worshiped together as a church. Sunday after Sunday we are coming together on-line. And with #unlock 2.0 but with restrictions for places of worship starting from June 1, 2020, the worship will continue in this manner.

A large number of members have expressed their happiness at the opportunity the Lord has provided us to worship together in spite of the prevailing situation. This has truly expanded the walls of our church building to the ends of the earth. We don’t yet know when it will be possible for us to congregate as a church and worship again.

Till then, let us hold each other’s hand and pray that the Lord will change the situation and protect each worshiper from the threat of this Pandemic. It’s time for us to kneel and intercede for each other, for the nation and the situation.

But the biggest prayer point should be the Lord may use the present situation to attract the people of the world to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Let’s PRAY earnestly and with burden to the Lord that this Pandemic Corona Virus that is affecting the globe be removed completely in Jesus’ name. Millions are affected by this virus and many have lost their lives. Let us pray for all the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, technicians and other paramedics working in healthcare centers who are our first line of defense against any epidemic.

UNITED CHAIN PRAYER (11th & 25th July, 2020)

As you are aware, Church of Christ (Union Church) is organizing a 16-hour United Chain prayer from 6 am till 10 pm twice every month.

As the COVID-19 Pandemic is making havoc globally, let us seek the Lord earnestly every month during the Chain Prayer on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays (11 & 25 July 2020) from 6 am to 10 pm. Thank you very much for your kind cooperation. God bless you.

Battling Negativity #COVID19

WEB SERIES (July 27 – August 1, 2020)

We are living in unprecedented times. The Coronavirus has changed the world beyond our wildest imagination. It has caused death in lakhs, devastated families, the economy and put our healthcare system to extreme stress. Things are no longer as they were. Millions of men and women are today battling situations triggered by loss of jobs. As a result, hopelessness has creeped into multitude of lives.

How we react to such a situation?

Church of Christ (Union Church), Bhubaneswar is organizing a series of talks touching upon these issues. It will be an attempt to infuse hope into lives and families. The scheduled talks will be reaching you through our YouTube channel cocbhubaneswar from July 27 to August 1, 2020.
