Church Events in February 2019
Meeting with Counsellor of British High Commission on 25th February, 2019
Mr. Kieron Drake, Minister Counsellor, Political and Press, British High Commission, New Delhi visited our church on 25th February evening to talk to our church leaders and ascertain from them about the situation prevailing in Odisha concerning Christians. He was accompanied by two of his colleagues. The Secretary, Treasurer and few of the CB members were present. We had a meaningful time with the British High Commission team.
Prayer for Odisha (24th February, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in both the Services. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On 24th February, we prayed for Nabarangpur district. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Prayer for Odisha (17th February, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in both the Services. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On 17th February, we prayed for Kandhamal district. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Child Dedication on 17th February, 2019
Anaya Mohapatra, daughter of Sayandeep and Shilpa Mohapatra was dedicated by our Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in the morning English Service. Please uphold this little baby girl in your prayers.
Prayer for Odisha (10th February, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Deacon Mr. Sandeep Kumar in the English Service and by our Evangelist Mr. Sandeep Giri in the afternoon Odia Service. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On 10th February, we prayed for Sonepur district. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Prayer for Exams (10th February, 2019)
As our children’s exams have already begun, and there are some who are preparing for it, like previous week, this week too we prayed for them for the Lord to grant them wisdom and memory power in abundance so they can come out in flying colors in their exams. Deacon Mr. Sandeep Kumar prayed for them in the English Service, while Evangelist Mr. Sandeep Giri prayed in the afternoon Odia Service. Please uphold these precious ones in your prayers for His Grace upon them. May this little ones shine in their exams and testify of God’s mercy on their lives.
2nd Saturday Chain Prayer from 7 am till 12 noon (9th February, 2019)
The 2nd Saturday Chain Prayer is held every month from 7 am till 12 noon. This month, it was held on 9th February. We thank those brothers and sisters who came for the corporate prayer. We urge the members of the Congregation to come in large numbers and be part of this time of prayer. It will strengthen the church. We prayed on various issues.
Water Baptism on 3rd February, 2019
We are happy to inform you all that seven of our young people were baptized in water this morning to tell the world that they had put their faith in the Lord Jesus and accepted him as their Lord and Saviour. They are bro. Sanjeet Ghose, bro. Abhishek Rout, bro. Amrit Aaron Mohanty, bro. Avinandan Chowdhury, sis. J.N.Pratyusha, sis. Swarnalata Pradhan and sis. Suma Lima. They were inducted as members of the church in the afternoon Odia Worship. Please remember them in your prayers as they start their spiritual journey.
Prayer for Odisha (3rd February, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer for our State Odisha in both the Worship Services since September 30 last year. Every Sunday, we are praying for one district of our State. Our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani prayed in both the morning English and in the afternoon Odia Service. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Sunday, we prayed for Bargarh district. Please remember this district and our State in your prayers that people may know the truth and the truth shall set them free in Jesus’ name.

World CE Day Celebration (2nd February, 2019)
The C.E. Union Bhubaneswar celebrated the World C.E. Day on 2nd February (Saturday) morning in the Church @ 8 am with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, which was followed by an encouraging talk by Church Secretary Mr. Paresh K. Das, who was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Many members from the C.E. Union came to attend this ceremony. It was followed by Prayer. Please uphold the C.E. Union in your prayers.
