Church Events in February 2018
Health Camp in Church (26th February)
The church organized a health camp on February 26, 2018, in this premises in which doctors from the AMRI Hospital, Care Hospital and KIDS were present to conduct general health check-up, examination of the eye, ear, nose and throat besides tests for blood sugar. Doctors also provided guidance to persons having diabetes. In addition, Bone Density Test was also conducted. This program was organized by the church in collaboration with the Inner Wheel and KIDS to whom we are thankful.
We are also thankful to all the volunteers who helped us in the smooth conduct of the camp. The camp started at 10 am and ended around 1 pm. We thank all the doctors and medical staff from various hospitals who came forward to have this camp in our church. Many of our worshipers were richly benefited by this camp.
Prayer Week in Church (19-24 February)
Prayer is the heartbeat of any Church. We had decided to organize a Prayer Week from 19th till 24th February, 2018. It was held every evening from 7-8 pm. All church related evening programs during the week were cancelled. We had a wonderful response from the congregation who came in good numbers on all 6 days. Various issues were prayed for. We prayed for our Nation, for our Church and the various wings functioning in the church, for the children’s exams and for your young people, for spiritual awakening in the church, for missions and missionaries, for souls to be saved to the Kingdom of God. On behalf of the church, we thank and compliment all the brothers and sisters who attended the prayer. Many of us, who think such programs bolster our faith, have suggested to organize such a prayer week every year either in the month of January or February. We prayed together for the Lord’s guidance and help in many areas.
Prayer for Childrens’ Exams (25th, 18th & 11th February)
We offered prayers for our precious children who are preparing to appear for their examinations. Some of them have already started their exams. They were prayed for in both our Worship Services on three successive Sundays, i.e. 11th, 18th and 25th February. Kindly uphold them in your prayers as they face their exams. Let us also pray that our children be guided by the Lord in walking the path of Holiness always.
World CE Prayer Day (13th February)
The Bhubaneswar CE Union observed 13th February (Tuesday Worship Service) as the World CE Prayer Day. In this meeting, Church Secretary Mr. Paresh Das shared God’s Word. After the Service, there was a fellowship dinner for those present. Many of our Church Board members were present too. We Praise God for our CE team for their wonderful commitment and work in the church.
Fasting Prayer held on 10th February
Like every 2nd Saturday, the Fasting Prayer was held from 7 am till 12 noon. Various issues were prayed for on this day. It was a time of spending time at the feet of the Lord. Rev. Satpathy led the prayer, followed by other leaders. We thank those brothers and sisters who attended this time of prayer. Please do join again next month for a time of prayer and fellowship.
World CE Day (2nd February)
The local CE Union celebrated the World CE day on 2nd February, 2018 here. The Flag hoisting ceremony was held in the church @ 8 am. Both our Associate Pastors along with prominent CE leaders were present. Rev. Surendra Kumar Sahu shared God’s Word on this occasion. Please uphold our CE members in your prayers.
