Church Events in April 2019
Mission Sunday announced on 28th April, 2019
Mission is the heartbeat of the church. But, how serious are we when it comes to mission? Our church will be organizing Mission Sunday on 12 May, 2019. Let us pray and plan to have an effective program on that day which will invigorate our congregation into missionary work.
Adjourned General Body Meeting held on 24th April, 2019
The Adjourned Meeting of the Church General Body which was held in the church on April 24, 2019 discussed the modalities for selection of Church Board members. We had received suggestions from 65 persons and the meeting had constituted a six-member Committee to go into the matter. The members of the Committee are Mr. Sushil Kumar Deep (Convenor), Mr. Susanta Kumar Pradhan, Mr. Tapas Dey, Mr. Samarendra Pradhan, Dr. Prasanta Kumar Nayak and Ms. Aniva Chand. They will scrutinize the proposals and come up with a single proposal incorporating the suggestions provided by the members. The next meeting of the General Body in this issue will be held in the church on 8th May @ 7 pm. All the members and Associate members are requested to attend this meeting. Please keep this issue in your prayers. Let God’s will alone be done.
Prayer for Odisha (21st April, 2019)
We had started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. On Resurrection Sunday, the prayer was led by our Deacon Mr. Sandeep Kumar in the English Service and it was led by our Evangelist Sandeep Giri in the afternoon Odia Service. We prayed for Nuapada district this Sunday. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers. Today, we completed our prayers for all the 30 districts of Odisha. Let us uphold them in our prayers.
Passion Week 2019 held between 14-21 April
This year’s Passion Week was held from 14-21 April, 2019. Rev. Susanta Patra from Kolkata, was the Speaker during this year. Many came for the first time to church to hear the Gospel. We praise God that He helped us to celebrate this week in a beautiful way. All those brothers and sisters who attended the Services were truly blessed. Share the Gospel of Jesus with others. If you have met the Resurrected Savior, you can never be silent.
Prayer for Odisha (14th April, 2019)
We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Deacon Rev. Bijoy Kumar Das in the English Service and by Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in the Odia Service. On 14th, we prayed for Deogarh district. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Second Saturday Chain Prayer held on 13th April, 2019
The 2nd Saturday Chain Prayer was held from 7 am till 12 pm. This month, it was conducted on 13th April. We thank those brothers and sisters who came forward to spend time at the Lord’s feet. This will surely strengthen the church.
VBS Teacher’s Meet held on 10th April, 2019
The Vacation Bible School will be held in our church from May 13-20, 2019 and the classes will commence @ 6:30 am in the morning and conclude @ 9:30 am. A Meeting of the teachers was held in this regard on 29th March evening and today. We request our worshipers to encourage their children to attend the VBS for their spiritual growth. The detailed program will be made known to you later. Many of the teachers attended this meeting. Please uphold this program in your prayers.
Water Baptism held on 7th April, 2019
Sis. Murchhana Pradhan and bro. Moses Mohapatra were baptized on Sunday morning by Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani. They were inducted as members in the afternoon Odia Worship Service. Please uphold them in your prayers.

We have started a special Prayer series for the districts of Odisha in both the Worship Services since 30 September 2018. This Sunday, the prayer was led by our Associate Pastor Rev. Dr. Ayub Chhinchani in both the Services. We prayed for Malkangiri district this week. We need to pray for our State and for the people in this area that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please remember this District and our State in your prayers.
Quarterly Prayer Week (1-6 April, 2019)
The quarterly prayer week in our church was held from April 1 to April 6. We thank all brothers and sisters who made it convenient to attend the prayer meeting. Many of them came every evening. We are grateful to those members. This time we specifically prayed for our country, the upcoming general elections, and the new church board selection process. Chain Prayer conducted by Jesus Calls held in church on 5th April, 2019
A Chain Prayer was being held in the city from April 2 and it ended on April 5. It was organized by the Jesus Calls Ministries. They had the last 2 hours prayer service in our church on 5th April from 4-6 pm. Close to 100 people attended this special prayer conducted for the nation and the general elections.
72-hour Prayer in city conducted in church on 4th April, 2019
The 72-hour prayer on in several churches in Bhubaneswar since 6 pm on April 2 was held in our church from 1-4 pm on 04-04-19. Our Evangelist Sandeep Kumar Giri coordinated this meeting with other leaders. Only a handful attended this meeting; but let me assure you that those believers who attended this time of prayer were blessed. We specially prayed for our Nation and the Elections scheduled to start soon.
