Church Events in April 2018
Special General Body Meeting on 25th & 18th April
A Special General Body Meeting was held in the Church on 18th April @ 7 pm. Many members and Associate members attended this meeting. Lot of deliberations were made regarding the welfare of the church and the worshipers, but due to paucity of time, the Meeting was adjourned and will conclude on 25th April, 2018. Rev. B.N. Satpathy gave a brief exhortation before the proceedings started. Secretary Mr. Paresh Das explained the Church details to the members/Associate members who were present. Mr. David Kamal Pradhan presided the Meeting and Mr. Santanu Rout was chosen as the Minutes Secretary.
On 25th April, the adjourned meeting was concluded. Lot of valuable suggestions were taken from the members present and it as decided to have the General Body Meeting in June. Please keep the Church and its related issues in your prayers.
VBS Teachers’ Meet on 21st & 7th April
A meeting of the VBS teachers was held here on 7th April to discuss about the upcoming Vacation Bible School scheduled to be held from 1st till 8th May this year. Many of the teachers were present and some new teachers have been chosen too. Among others were members of Scripture Union, members from our Church Board and our Associate Pastors.
The next meeting was held on 21st of this month where Teachers’ hand books were distributed and guidelines were briefed up again. Please keep this program in your prayers as we are expecting many children to turn up for VBS this year.
Chain Prayer held on 14th April
Prayer is the heartbeat of any Church. Like every 2nd Saturday, the Chain Prayer was held from 7 am till 12 noon. Various issues were prayed for on this day. It was a time of spending time at the feet of the Lord. Various groups offered prayers each hour. On behalf of the church, we thank and compliment all the brothers and sisters who attended the chain prayer. Please do join again next month for a time of prayer and fellowship.
Water Baptism on 8th April
5 young people were baptized in water on 8th April morning by Rev. Ayub Chhinchani. They were accepted as members in the afternoon Odia Worship Service. They are
