World CE day (02-02-16)
Celebrating the World CE day 2016
The local C.E. Union celebrated the World CE day today. This morning, at 8 am, the members of the C.E. Union gathered in Church for the Flag Hoisting ceremony. Mr. Purnananda Pradhan, who is the Trustee World C.E.U, Advisor, India C.E & President of East India C.E. was present and he performed the flag hoisting in Church. Some senior C.E. leaders and Church Pastors, Rev. Ayub Chhinchani and Rev. B.N. Satpathy were present too. The C.E. Oath was taken by all the members present. Then, Rev. Ayub Chhinchani offered Prayers on behalf of the C.E. Union for this day. After the flag hoisting was over, there was some light refreshments for those present. With this the morning program ended.
In the Evening, the C.E. Union had a Special Worship Service in Church. Mr. Purnananda Pradhan was the Chief Guest for the Evening. Mr. Ranjan Kumar Nayak, Secretary of C.E. Union presided the show. Rev. Ayub Chhinchani opened the Evening Service with a Word of Prayer. The Susamachar Sangita Dala (Odia Choir) presented some special numbers on this occasion. All the guests mentioned above gave a short message on the importance of this day. For this Special occasion, bro. Sarbananda Sahu was chosen to Preach God’s Word. He gave a wonderful, inspiring message from the book of John 15:4-6. He stressed on the importance of this day; the World CE, which was celebrating it’s 136th anniversary. The World CE was started with a single, sole purpose to re-ignite the Christian youths. After this message, Mr. Ranjan Nayak gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the C.E. family. Then the Chief Guest, Mr. Purnananda Pradhan performed the oath taking ceremony for all the members and guests who were there. Rev. Ayub Chhinchani ended the Special Worship with Prayer and Benediction. After the Service was over, there was fellowship dinner arranged by the C.E. Union. It was a Blessed and lovely time for those present. May the good Lord continue to Bless the members of C.E. Union and make them a channel of Blessing in the days to come! God bless us all.
