Women’s Retreat held on 18th August

 

A Women’s Retreat was held in Church on the 18th of August, 2016. It was organized by the Mahila Samiti, we have in our Church. The Mahila Samiti President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer among others were present.

About 170 mothers registered for this one-day Retreat. This year’s Resource person was Ms. Nihar Nalini Chhatriya from Balangir. She spoke for two sessions and it was a tremendous of sharing and learning from God’s Word. Both our Associate Pastors, Rev. Ayub Chhinchani and Rev. B.N. Satpathy were present on this occasion. Before the lunch break, there was a time of Prayer. The mothers got in groups and Prayed for the needs of the people. They Prayed for souls to come to Jesus in this last days.

Ms. Ranjita Behera, the President of the Mahila Samiti presided the entire show. Just before the lunch interval, Rev. Chhinchani conducted a quiz competition participated by the mothers. After the lunch interval, the mothers had some song competition and at the end of it prizes were given to the deserving candidates as a token of appreciation on behalf of the Mahila Samiti. In all, it was an exciting day of learning from God’s Word and having fellowship with other ladies. We Praise God for the mothers of our Church. They are a true source of strength for any Church.

We thank the Speaker for sharing the Word and enlightening the vision of our mothers. We thank both our Pastors for their encouragement and support. We also thank the Church for organizing such a beautiful event.
