Annual CE day Celebrations

The Annual CE day was celebrated by the local CE Union here. Today was the Foundation day of CE. The program started around 7:30 PM with praise and worship by the Choir. They presented some lovely numbers; after which, our Associate Pastor, Rev. B.N. Satpathy conducted the show. He started with a Word of Prayer, then there was another special number from the choir. It was about evangelism and the song goes like this: “Susamachar ra sashya prachura; choundige dekha chahin…”. Then local CE President, bro. Joachim Manas Ranjan welcomed everyone for this meeting. After that, joint secretary of our Church, bro. Biren Kumar Pradhan prayed for entire CE Union and for God’s Word.

Then the chief speaker for the evening, Rev. Samuel Somalingam, youth Pastor of CNI Baptist Church, Cuttack was invited to preach. He spoke from Ecclesiastes 11:9. His message was focused on Eternity. Are we concerned at the temporal things of this world, or we concentrating on things that are of Eternal value? It was a powerful message delivered by God’s servant. He left everyone a challenge about our mission in this world. Following which there was prize distribution for the annual Premanalini Das inter-prayer zone Bible quiz competition held on 19th May. Rev. Somalingam gave away the prizes to the winners. CE secretary Ranjan Kumar Nayak encouraged one and all to attend CE meetings held every tuesday evening @ 7 PM in large numbers and be blessed.

1st Prize: Sis. Pritinanda Behera & sis. Renuka Moharana. (Mizpah zone)

2nd Prize: Sis. Supriya Pradhan and sis. Trinita Pradhan. (Hebron-I zone)

3rd Prize: Sis. Sunita Missal and sis. Madhulita Samantaray. (Sinai zone)

Rev. B.N. Satpathy closed the meeting with the Benediction. Even though, it was a small gathering of 50 people; but it was a beautiful time spent in God’s house with His saints.
